Trivandrum....

I have lived in Trivandrum around 8 years now....4 years during my school years and 4 years of my engineering life...And even though i am not much of a great trivandrum fan this place has grown on me...yup trivandrum has got its faults but which place haven't?? ....The time i spend here especially the 4 years of my engineering life will always hold a special place in my heart..I remember the numerous times we guys from outside tvm always used to heckle the hard core tvmites (read luttu in class,aswin in lords) about what a sodding dump this place is..the people sucks ,the place sucks ..and yaa we used to to win the arguments coz we outnumbered them..But heck i dnt know if its coz of nostalgia but i am actually gonna miss this place..i will miss ZAMZAM ,i will miss CET,i will miss LORDS my home away from home for the past 3 years now....

So as another innings in trivandrum winds up to an end i cant make my mind Do i really love this place or is the nostalgia speaking?? well love it or hate it this was home for the past 4years and thats all there is to it....

This Happens Only in India....

Mr.Arun Shourie minister for administrative reform(99-02) reminisces about the incident that occured in april 99. In that month Ministry of Steel submitted a formal query to Shourie's Ministry for Administrative Reform.The grave matter,which was to take almost a year to resolve and would consume the valuable time of some of the seniormost officials,concerned whether civil servants should be allowed to use green or red ink ,as opposed to blue or black normally used to annotate documents.

After several weeks of meetings,consultations and memoranda.the IAS officers in Shourie's department concluded that the matter could be only resolved only by officials at the Buereau of Printing.Another three weeks of learned deliberation ensued before the bureau returned the file to the Ministry of Administrative reform,but with the recommendation that it should consult the Ministry of Training and Personnel.It took another 3 weeks for the file to reach that ministry.

And so this question of state meandered on for weeks and months,in meeting after meeting through ministry after ministry,before the following compromise was stuck:'Initial drafting will be in black or blue ink.Modifications can be made in green or red ink. Well ctrl-c ctrl-v has been a life saver during these past 4 years ...how else is one supposed to complete the lab?? By programming ..I dnt think so..

*HOD is always correct

nothing much to say on this....she is always correct!!!

*The art of writing apology letters

though got the chance to apologise to HOD only in the first two years she did make sure we knew how to apologise for everything under the sun....for cutting classes,for making noise,for chrismas celeration,for being born.....

*There is always suppli...

Well its self explanatory..There is always suppli if not criti...or if not there is mercy and it goes on.....

*The fine art of bullshitting....

How many series,universties one could survive by just writing crap on the answer paper ..and not to forget the project and miniproject presenations....This is one of the most important survival technique i think i have picked up from cet..now if somebody asks me something i dont know i can always call up on my 4 years of experience on writing and talking crap and acting as if i know the stuff being discussed just to save my neck....

* Sitting on my ass all day and acting as if i am programming...

the most important thing i learned at CET..especially useful if after passing out you are going to an IT sweatshop..its simple when somebody who is in a position to fire you comes along just type int a=1 and write some mindless loop..after he passes go on playing solitaire or whatever you like to do...Even if its not an IT job this skill will come in handy..you sit on your ass all day and act as you are seriously thinking nobody will disturb you!!!

and i guess there is more that this college has taught me directly and indirectly......

my funny blog....

after getting the techinicalities of the first post out of my way here i am with my second post..this one i intend to be a funny and witty one oozing with sarcasm..i want to make people laugh....trouble is i have been sitting in front of my system for past 2 hours and except for chatting up girls on orkut nothing is been happening..maybe that is what happens when you orkut too much ...maybe the sarcastic part of my cerebellum has gone to sleep...well there is always plagiarizing...i guess will plagiarize to my hearts content in the next post....

so lemme go and search up some funny blogs from the net to steal from or i may just post the jokes from readers digest...whatever..all for a funny blog post!!!
